Delia’s aims to focus on a market that fits the demographics of women aged 10 to 24, commonly referred to as Generation Z. This audience is fashion-forward and displays high interest in trending music and pop culture. Standing out and creating their own style is important to them. They enjoy surfing the web and social media for the latest and greatest trends and popular products. They spend a lot of their time on their smartphones taking photos of their trendy looks oftentimes posing as “influencers” and sharing with friends and others who follow similar interests.
They are no strangers to mobile applications and website interfaces made specifically to advertise and shop. Delia’s site will offer the feature to try clothes on before purchasing by allowing the users to upload a photo of themselves creating a virtual avatar of their likeness. This feature will not only bring in more sales, but it can serve as an attractor for all shoppers, regardless of their demographics.

By tapping into new technology, the chosen demographic can utilize a mobile shopping application featuring a virtual fitting room utilizing augmented reality technology. Users can take a photo of themselves using an AR map of their face and body so the users can try on items before purchasing. There is also a feature to create their graphic tees.
